Rand Harris

SENIOR ADVISOR

Rand Harris spent nearly 25 years with the State of Texas working on issues that affect families and vulnerable individuals. In addition to health care, child welfare, and elderly and disabled adults, Rand has worked on education, immigration, energy, and transportation issues. He has extensive experience with government budget and legislative processes.

Prior to joining the Eller Group, Rand held positions with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Comptroller’s office and the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. He was most recently Chief of Staff and Associate Commissioner at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Rand continues to teach courses in Sociology at Austin Community College as he has done for more than 25 years.

Rand holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Texas State University.
